Une fois passee l'immigration je suis sortie de l'aeroport a New York et j'ai pris le train pour aller a Manhattan. Comme j'avais mes bagages avec moi je ne suis pas allee tres loin mais j'ai pu voir l'Empire State building, quelques rues, des magasins etc. Autour de New York c'est plein de marais avec des roseaux et plein de ponts, je ne m'attendais pas du tout a ca. Les gens sont super sympas, ils parlent dans la gare en attendant les trains. En deux heures, quatre personnes m'ont spontanement adresse la parole (enfin ca a l'air d'etre une constante dans ce voyage comme vous le verrez dans mes prochains posts) Sinon, meme si on le sait, il fait mega chaud a New York en aout et ca fait un choc. En tout cas, c'est tres chouette et j'aimerais beaucoup y retourner.
Once I got through immigration I got to see New York for a short while. I went to Manhattan and I thought it was really nice. I didn't expect New York to be so full of swamps and ponds and therefore, bridges (that is what I saw on my way to Manhattan, it might not be like this everywhere) The New Yorkers I saw were lovely people, very helpful and talkative, even if they don't know you and you blatantly look like a backpacker. I'd love to go back there to visit, but maybe not in August as I thought it was very very hot. Temperatures are all given to you in Farenheit degrees so it makes it look even hotter... 'what? 80 degrees? surely I should be dead by now...'
